Denzel Washington Stars in ‘Highest 2 Lowest’ Directed by Spike Lee [OFFICIAL TEASER]

Denzel Washington and Spike Lee are collaborating for the fifth time in the upcoming crime drama “Highest 2 Lowest,” a reinterpretation of the great filmmaker Akira Kurosawa’s crime thriller “High and Low.”

Washington plays a titan music mogul who has gained the reputation for having the “best ears in the business.” He gets targeted with a ransom plot and finds himself stuck in a life-or-death moral dilemma with the backdrop of modern New York City. Jeffrey Wright, Ilfenesh Hadera, and A$AP Rocky also appear in the film.

“Highest 2 Lowest” comes to theaters August 22, 2025 then streams on Apple TV+ September 5. Watch the official teaser in the clip below.
