Awards Show season is in full swing and one of the biggest of 2025 airs live at 8pm EST on Sunday, January 5 on CBS and Paramount+ with host Nikki Glaser. The ceremony which awards the best in television and film from the past year, also celebrated special awards with Viola Davis being honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award for her stellar career and Ted Danson being recognized for his achievements on screen with the Carol Burnett Award.
There are many first time Golden Globe nominees like Pamela Anderson for Best Female Actor Motion Picture Drama for “The Last Showgirl,” Ariana Grande and Zoe Saldana for Best Supporting Female Actor Motion Picture for “Wicked” and “Emilia Pérez,” respectively, and Mikey Madison for Best Female Actor Motion Picture Musical/Comedy for “Anora.” Others that landed nominations include Demi Moore (“The Substance”), Cynthia Erivo (“Wicked“), Zendaya (“Challengers”), Glen Powell (“Hit Man”), and Sebastian Stan (“A Different Man”). Films like “The Brutalist,” “A Complete Unknown,” “Dune: Part Two,” and “Conclave” all earned nominations.
