Luciano Leroux quickly became an actor to watch for his role as Javi Martinez on Showtime’s Yellowjackets. For two seasons his character was the center of many theories and lore centered around the series that follows a girls high school soccer team who become “unlucky survivors” after their plane crashes deep in the Canadian wilderness.

Leroux explained how the show shaped his career. “Yeah I mean it was definitely a first for me. I’ve never really been in that type of production, that big of a cast and I mean so many great cast members there. You have so many great people with a lot of experience and also the crew was amazing as well so overall it was it really was just a great learning experience is what I always say because I came out of that with a lot more confidence in my acting abilities and also in myself as well so I feel like I have learned a lot from that and I also made a lot of good friends there as well which I still talk to to this day.”

The horror-thriller world seems to be a genre Luciano gravitate towards and his new show falls right in line with the beloved genre. Created by Ian McCulloch, the upcoming Peacock Original series Teacup is inspired by Robert McCammon 1988 book “Stinger.” The series will star Yvonne Strahovski, Scott Speedman, Kathy Baker, and Chaske Spencer alongside Leroux and is slated to follow a mysterious danger menacing strangers at a Texas ranch.

Since Teacup is currently in production Luciano couldn’t share much but he teased a bit about Nicholas Shanley, the character he plays. He told Glambergirlblog, “I think Nicholas and I, Nicholas the character that I play, I think we share a lot of similarities which is interesting because I haven’t, I didn’t really share that many similarities with Javi but playing a role that now I can really relate to is kind of refreshing you know. You can bring a lot of more real world examples into that role which in turn helps your performance…I mean Nicholas is…he’s an animal lover. I’m an animal lover. He’s a compassionate guy. I’m a compassionate guy so I feel like you know whenever I play him it’s kind of an extension of myself in a sort of way and it’s fun. It really is.”
