Children Can Be Such Monsters In The ‘Abigail’ Trailer

I’m a horror lover who doesn’t particularly like children in those types of films and not for the reason you might think of. It’s not that I’m worried about them getting hurt, as horrible as that sounds, but they can be really annoying, especially in heightened situations. They’re kids so I get their fear, but they do not make the best moves so I just prefer them not in it unless they are evil. I said all that to say I’m really excited for “Abigail.”

Written by Stephen Shields and Guy Busick and directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett comes a “new vision of the vampire flick.” In “Abigail” a group of would-be criminals kidnap the 12-year-old ballerina daughter of a powerful underworld figure. To collect a $50 million ransom they must watch the girl overnight in an isolated mansion. Locked in, the criminals soon mess around and find out the angelic ballerina is really a vicious vampire.

I kind of wish that tidbit wasn’t revealed in the trailer, but it still looks entertaining nonetheless. Melissa Barrera, Dan Stevens, Kathryn Newton, William Catlett, Kevin Durand, Angus Cloud, and Alisha Weir star in the film. “Abigail” comes to theaters on April 19, 2024.

Watch the “Abigail” official trailer in the clip below. Does this look like your kind of horror flick? Share your thoughts in the comments.
