There are only so many ways you can make a survival film interesting especially if the characters and location are limited, but “Nowhere,” a new film that premiered on Netflix Friday, September 29, is a gripping story of survival from start to finish starring Anna Castillo and Tamar Novas.

The Spanish drama, dubbed in English or the language of your choosing, is directed by Albert Pintó and co-written by Ernest Riera, Seanne Winslow, and Teresa de Rosendo with original screenplay by Indiana Lista. Set in a dystopian future where women and children are being slaughtered in a war-torn Spain, Mia (Castillo) and Nico (Novas) are fleeing the country by cargo for a better life alongside other desperate families.

It goes from bad to worse for Mia when she’s separated from Nico, her cargo container gets lost at sea, and she gives birth. Even if you predict how this film ends you’ll be emotionally drawn in and stressed out the entire time. Read my full review of “Nowhere” via Popternative.com HERE. “Nowhere” is streaming now on Netflix.
