It’s been 5 years and “The Nun” is expanding in the second chapter of the film from “The Conjuring” Universe. Directed by Michael Chaves with story by Akela Cooper and screenplay by Cooper, Ian Goldberg, and Richard Naing, “The Nun II” brings Taissa Farmiga back as Sister Irene.
Based on characters created by James Wan & Gary Dauberman, Jonas Bloquet, Storm Reid, and Anna Popplewell co-star in “The Nun II” with Bonnie Aarons reprising her role as the Nun, known as the “greatest evil” in the “Conjuring” universe. The sequel film is set in 1956 France as evil is spreading and once again Sister Irene has to deal with the demon nun Valak.

As a fan of horror, I can usually anticipate jump scares, and even though I could tell some were coming in the official trailer for “The Nun II” I still found myself jumping and yelping. This is going to be good.
“The Nun II” comes to theaters on Friday, September 8, 2023.
