Get Ready To See A New Chapter in the ‘Bird Box Barcelona’ Official Teaser

Many of Netflix’s original films have created social media viral moments but I can’t think of one in recent years that was as extravagant and hilarious as back in 2018 when “Bird Box” was released.

Based on the 2014 novel of the same name by Josh Malerman, “Bird Box starred Sandra Bullock as a mother with children who traversed a society where an ominous unseen presence forced people into suicide if they simply open their eyes and gaze upon it. Trevante Rhodes, John Malkovich, Sarah Paulson, Jacki Weaver, Rosa Salazar, Danielle Macdonald, Lil Rel Howery, Tom Hollander, Colson Baker, BD Wong, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Vivien Lyra Blair, and Julian Edwards made up the ensemble cast.

Now a new installment of the global phenomenon is coming to Netflix next month. Naila Schuberth, Mario Casas, and Georgina Campbell star in “Bird Box Barcelona.” The official synopsis for the film reads, “After a mysterious force decimates the world’s population, Sebastian must navigate his own survival journey through the desolate streets of Barcelona. As he forms uneasy alliances with other survivors and they try to escape the city, an unexpected and even more sinister threat grows.”

Diego Calva, Michelle Jenner, Leonardo Sbaraglia, Lola Dueñas, Alejandra Howard, and  Patrick Criado make up some of the ensemble cast.

Are you ready to see? “Bird Box Barcelona” comes to Netflix on Friday, July 14.
