Joe Goldberg’s days are numbered now that Netflix announced their hit thriller series You will come to an end with its fifth and final season in 2024.

The news came Friday morning on social media. On Netflix’s Twitter account, a tweet read “Brace yourself for Joe Goldberg’s final chapter. You will return for a fifth and final season in 2024!” There was also a montage clip of Joe (played by Penn Badgley) reciting his infamous “hello, you” line and ending the clip with saying “goodbye, you.”

Based on the You book series by Caroline Kepnes, the show started off as Lifetime Original series and then moved to Netflix for season two. Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble will step down as showrunners for the final season with Michael Foley and Justin W. Lo stepping in, who have been a part of the show as writers in previous seasons. You has taken Joe from New York to London and many places in between, but what will be in store for him in the final season?

What do you think about Netflix’s You series coming to an end? What should happen to Joe Goldberg? Share your thoughts in the comments.
