I must say the “Jurassic Park” film franchise is really a fascinating one. The idea of dinosaurs living in a modern era is both terrifying and exciting. It would be astonishing to see them up close and personal, but they are wild animals so I wouldn’t want to get too close. For nearly 30 years and six films, the concept of having dinosaurs live and interact with humans has been tested and gone horribly wrong. The final film in the “Jurassic World” franchise proved yet again it can NOT happen without countless casualties.

“Jurassic World: Dominion” follows “Fallen Kingdom” (2018) and “Jurassic World” (2015) and picks up four years after “Fallen Kingdom.” Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard reprise their roles as Owen and Claire and are surrogate parents to Maisie Lockwood (Isabella Sermon) this time around. When Biosyn operatives track down Maisie for research purposes, Owen and Claire do everything to get her back along with fighting off treacherous dinosaurs along the way.

Franchise OG’s Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, BD Wong, and Sam Neill all return with familiar “Jurassic World” faces Daniella Pineda, Justice Smith, and Omar Sy return as well along with newbies Mamoudou Athie and DeWanda Wise. The Honest Trailer for “Jurassic World: Dominion” breaks down the events of the film and gave me exactly what I wanted to see…”ALAN” If you know, you know.

“Jurassic World: Dominion” is streaming now on Peacock, including an extended version with about 20 minutes more footage.
