Variety’s Actors On Actors Returns With In Person Sit Downs With Zendaya, Andrew Garfield, Sebastian Stan And More

One thing Variety’s ‘Actors on Actors’ interview series is going to do is slay some celebrity sit-downs. For 15 seasons the media outlet paired actors together for exclusive conversations where they would interview their fellow peers. There really isn’t a bad interview when these happen because I think it allows the actors to really be open and talk about things they normally wouldn’t get asked in a typical interview setting. I recently watched an old segment with Timothée Chalamet and Emma Stone and fell in love with Chalamet and even more in love with Stone. These interviews tend to do that.

For the past few seasons, due to Covid-19, ‘Actors on Actors’ was virtual, but this year for season 16 in-person sit downs are back with another outstanding roster of actors. The pairings this year are: Jennifer Aniston with Sebastian Stan, Quinta Brunson with Adam Scott, Viola Davis with Samuel L. Jackson, Zendaya with Andrew Garfield, Anne Hathaway with Jeremy Strong, Courteney Cox with Faith Hill, Tom Hiddleston with Lily James, Jung Ho-yeon (HoYeon Jung) with Sandra Oh, Christina Ricci with Sydney Sweeney, Jared Leto with Amanda Seyfried, Martin Short with Jean Smart, Cynthia Nixon with Bowen Yang, and Josh Brolin with a mystery guest.

I don’t think there is a pairing for season 16 of ‘Actors on Actors’ that I’m not excited to see. All these sit downs look like they are going to be very good! I can’t wait.

The 13 one-on-one conversations begin airing Tuesday, June 7 on Variety.com and on their social media channels. The official ‘Actors on Actors’ magazine will come to newsstands the following day on Wednesday, June 8.  PBS SoCal will also stream all episodes on pbssocal.org along with them being available for free on the PBS app. On June 17, PBS SoCal will air a compilation of the episodes at 8pm.
