Apple TV+ once in a blue moon has a show that I’m interested in that will make me renew my subscription. The upcoming series Roar is based on the 2018 book (of the same name) by best-selling author Cecelia Ahern and has officially been added to my watch list.
Roar “explores female experiences that many women have but rarely talk about” in eight episodes that will tell eight unique stories in a collection of “genre-bending” tales. The series episodes will showcase: “the woman who was kept on a shelf,” the woman who disappeared,” “the woman who ate photographs,” the woman who returned her husband,” “the woman who solved her own murder,” “the girl who loved horses,” “the woman who was fed by a duck,” and “the woman who found bite marks on her skin.”
Nicole Kidman, Cynthia Erivo, Issa Rae, Merritt Wever, Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin, Meera Syal, Fivel Stewart, and Kara Hayward star in Roar premiering on Apple TV+ on April 15.
