“The Love Story Is Never The Whole Story” In Hulu’s ‘Deep Water’

Every marriage is different. What works for one couple might not work for the next because “the love story is never the whole story” in Hulu’s “Deep Water” starring Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas.

Based on the Patricia Highsmith novel with the screenplay by Zach Helm and Sam Levinson, Adrian Lyne directs the psychological thriller coming to Hulu later this month. Affleck and de Armas star as Vic and Melinda Van Allen, a married couple with a particular union. To avoid divorce, Vic allows his wife to have affairs, but he becomes a prime suspect when her lovers start to disappear.

The official teaser trailer gives away absolutely nothing, but maybe that’s for the best. I haven’t read the novel so I think it’s going to be good to go into this film with as little beforehand information as possible. I’m intrigued by the concept to definitely add this to my watch list.
