Regina Hall Gains A Position Of Power At A Cursed School In Prime Video’s ‘Master’

The past always comes back to haunt you in writer-director Mariama Diallo’s debut feature “Master” on Prime Video starring the incomparable Regina Hall.

“Master” intertwines the story of three women at the elite Northeastern university Ancaster College. Hall stars as Professor Gail Bishop in the upcoming thriller and has been named the first Black “Master” of a university residence hall, first red flag there. Jasmine Moore (Zoe Renee) is an “energetic and optimistic” Black freshman assigned to a haunted dorm room who later clashes with Liv Beckman (Amber Gray), a professor at Ancaster in the midst of a tenure review. All the while the university is hiding a sinister agenda that may be revealed.

Streaming on Prime Video and in select theaters “Master” premieres on March 18, 2022.
