I haven’t blogged about the Oscars in a minute. As much as I love movies it’s kind of strange that I didn’t but here we are. Maybe it’s because some of the nominees are projects I’ve actually seen and stars I actually love.

“The Power of the Dog” topped this year’s nominations earning spots in the Best Picture, Actor in a Leading Role, Actor in a Supporting Role, Actress in a Supporting Role, and Cinematography categories, among others.

Big talk came from my girl Kristen Stewart earning her first Oscar nom for her role in “Spencer” and Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons possibly earning his and hers Oscars with their nominations. The big award of the night is always focused on Best Picture. “Belfast,” “Coda,” “Don’t Look Up,” “Drive My Car,” “Dune,” “King Richard,” “Licorice Pizza,” “Nightmare Alley,” “The Power of the Dog,” and “West Side Story” are the 10 films up for the honor. Who will take home the prestigious Academy Award? We’ll find out at the end of next month.

The 94th Oscars will air on ABC on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at the Dolby® Theatre in Hollywood. Check out the full list of 2022 Oscar nominees HERE.
