They say Christmas is for the kids so the holiday season is a perfect time to channel your inner child if you’re way past your adolescence. For me, I love to watch holiday movies that remind me of my childhood and one of those movies is the 1990 animated film “The Nutcracker Prince.”

The story of “The Nutcracker,” from what I understand watching this movie, is about Clara getting gifted a nutcracker from Uncle Drosselmeier. She is told the story about how the nutcracker came to be and later dreams of a wondrous world where the nutcracker comes to life and he must defend a kingdom against the rat king. Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky created the music for “The Nutcracker” two-act ballet and he snapped! It’s some of the most beautiful music I’ve ever heard and it instantly gives me that Christmas feel when I hear it.

“The Nutcracker” has been adapted many times but “The Nutcracker Prince” will always be my favorite. Sugar Plum fairies, winter wonderlands, toy soldiers, and Tchaikovsky. My heart grows three sizes every time I watch it. Where to watch: Putlocker2021
