After a decade of bringing terror to the small screen with American Horror Story, creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk put a twist on their beloved anthology series with a new way to tell tales that will make you jump at every sound you hear at night.

American Horror Stories takes some of the familiar faces from AHS and combines them with a bunch of fresh talent to bring an innovative way to continue the AHS legacy. The show has been described as “an anthology series of stand-alone episodes delving into horror myths, legends, and lore,” according to IMDb.

The premiere episode was a two-parter called “Rubber (Wo)man: Part One and Part Two that took loyal AHS fans back to 2011 and Murder House. I loved the callbacks to season one of AHS yet it still felt like a brand new show. Episode three, “Drive In,” had no correlations to previous AHS material, but still was an interesting episode. I enjoy so far how each episode is a mini-movie with a definitive ending and then it moves on. Can’t wait to see how the rest of the season plays out.

American Horror Stories is streaming now exclusively on FX on Hulu with new episodes every Thursday.

Check out the trailer for season one below. Have you checked out any of the episodes yet? Share your thoughts in the comments.
