‘Hocus Pocus 2’ Is Officially Coming To Disney Plus In Fall 2022

You can’t have Spooky Season without having a little “Hocus Pocus” and in this case, it’s the best news fans of the cult 1993 Disney film could ask for. Rumors were swirling that a sequel to the film could happen and a bulk of the cast would want to be involved but nothing was set in stone. Now you better get a virgin to light a black flame candle because the Sanderson sisters are back!

Walt Disney Studios announced that “Hocus Pocus 2” could be coming to Disney Plus in the fall of 2022 and Winifred, Sarah, and Mary Sanderson would all be back. Yes, Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy are reprising their roles and are excited to reignite their black cauldrons.

On Twitter Midler shared the news with the caption, “Sistaaaahs! It’s been 300 years… But we’re BACK! 🧹 #HocusPocus2 arrives Fall 2022 on @DisneyPlus,” SJP posted, “Yep. I’m ready. To run. Amok, amok, amok, amok.🕯️ #HocusPocus2 arrives Fall 2022 on @disneyplus Sisters??? X, SJ” on Instagram, and Najimy simply retweeted the news to her followers.

I LOVE “Hocus Pocus!” Spooky Season is literally not complete unless I watch that movie about a dozen times and it never gets old. I would love to see more of the original cast members return like Max (Omri Katz), Dani (Thora Birch), and Allison (Vinessa Shaw). Last time they were all together was for the 2018 Freeform 25th Anniversary special. My childhood would explode if they were in the sequel.

My only apprehension about this sequel is that it will try to be too politically correct to save any push back from today’s overly sensitive and “woke” society. Please don’t mess up this movie. It’s already looking good with all the sisters back, so I’ll keep my fingers crossed and my expectations minimal.
