The COVID-19 qlobal quarantine has been disheartening, but leave it to the creatives to make staying inside with no option of leaving the house for fun in the foreseeable future bearable.
DJ D-Nice started “Club Quarantine” as a way for people to still enjoy music in a party setting all while staying in the comfort of their homes. The DJ would go on Instagram live to perform sets that ranked in thousands upon thousands of viewers. Club Instagram has since been taken up a notch thanks to Music Producers Timbaland and Swizz Beats.
The pair, who has countless hits, joined an IG live where they played their best tracks to rival the other. That pairing has since sparked a friendly battle between other artists with music fans anticipating who will battle it out next. Previous battles included: the-Dream vs. Sean Garrett, Ne-Yo vs. Johnta Austin, Boilda vs. Hitboy and Scott Storch vs. Mannie Fresh.
Tonight, April 4, Lil Jon will go against T-Pain (9pm EST), Sunday, April 5, Teddy Riley and Babyface with L.A. Reid go head to head (6pm EST), and for some reason Bobby Valentino and Pleasure P are going to battle it out with hits on Monday, April 6 (time TBA).
Who knows how long we’ll be self isolating and social distancing, but at least we have music to ease our souls and keep us entertained.
