The 92nd Academy Awards aired live Sunday, February 9 from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The biggest night in Hollywood that celebrates all things film made history and caused some upsets for viewers as usual. Big winner of the night was Bong Joon Ho’s “Parasite,” which took home four Oscars including: Best Motion Picture of the Year, Best Achievement in Directing, Best Original Screenplay, and Best International Feature Film.

Laura Dern took home her first Oscar for her supporting actress role in “Marriage Story.” Matthew A. Cherry earned his first Oscar too for his animated short “Hair Love.” Brad Pitt took home the supporting actor Oscar for “Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood.” Joaquin Phoenix took home the lead actor trophy for “Joker” and Renee Zellweger was awarded the lead actress trophy for “Judy.”

Eminem made a surprise appearance performing his Oscar award-winning song “Lose Yourself” which became the most memeable moment of the night and honestly the most entertaining. Award Shows have really fell off in my opinion. I watch them now out of habit, but recaps and Twitter commentary really make them bearable at this point.
