Shameless Gets Renewed For 11th and Final Season on Showtime

Last call for the Gallagher gang.

Showtime’s longest running television series Shameless will be coming to end with its 11th and final season. The official announcement came on Monday via social media with a brief announcement sharing that while the show has been renewed, the next season will be the last one.

Of course the cast members weighed in thanking fans and the network for being able to provide 11 years of television. Emma Kenney (Debbie) tweeted, “One. Last. Hoorah. Shameless season 11: our final season. Thank you @Showtimesho for keeping us employed the last 11 years and letting everyone party with the Gallagher’s, too. And thank you guys for sticking with us for so long through all of our ups and downs. So bittersweet!”

William H. Macy (Frank) posted, “Parting is such sweet sorrow,” along with the announcement. Cameron Monaghan (Ian) just said “Goodbye. ❤️,” Steve Howey (Kevin) “One more. Eleven and done,” and Shanola Hampton (Veronica) “Let’s go on our final ride!! Season 11! @SHO_Shameless! What a ride it has been!”

Now that the show is coming to an end I think a big final season bringing back all the shows favs is a must! I want to see Fiona come back in some way and us knowing what she’s been up to. I want Jimmy/Steve, Mandy, Sheila, Sammi, Svetlana, even Karen crazy ass showing back up. This should be one big reunion season and wrapping up the Gallaghers story as much as possible. It’s hard to please everyone when it comes to beloved shows ending, but if I can at least get a blast from the past with former characters having guest spots then I would be so happy.
