The season 9 premiere of American Horror Story; 1984 is less than a week away and the official opening sequence has been released.

On Instagram, writer and co-creator Ryan Murphy shared the tease of the opening credits with the caption, “I am so excited to share with you the new AMERICAN HORROR STORY title sequence by our longtime collaborator Kyle Cooper and our new friend Corey Vega, who ignited this concept with an original “fan” cut he posted on Twitter after the 1984 season was announced. I liked it so much, I decided to bring him on board to work together with Kyle as they evolved the concept into something major. Congratulations Corey! 1980s horror never looked so good.”

AHS: 1984 follows a group of youngsters heading to a Camp Redwood for work and naturally encounter a serial killer. The credits give 1980’s vibes which the season will center around with Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Cody Fern, Matthew Morrison, Leslie Grossman, John Carroll Lynch, DeRon Horton, Gus Kenworthy, Angelica Ross, and Zach Villa as the lead cast.
