Zach Galifianakis’ Funny Or Die series Between Two Ferns ran from 2008 to around 2014 and mocked a cable access interview program. Galifianakis and his celebrity guests would literally sit with two fern plants between them as the host often asked rude and deeply personal questions.
Of course it was meant to be funny and many times the segments were quite hilarious. After a few years the show is back in a movie format for Netflix.
“Between Two Ferns: The Movie” takes Zach Galifianakis and his crew across the country to complete the show and restore his reputation after an interview with Matthew Mcconaughey goes wrong.
Other celebrities in the star-studded movie include: Will Ferrell, Peter Dinklage, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Rudd, Tiffany Haddish, Brie Larson, Keanu Reeves, Jon Hamm, David Letterman, Jason Schwartzman, Adam Scott, John Cho, Chance the Rapper, Rashida Jones, Hailee Steinfeld, John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, and Tessa Thompson.
