The Final Betrayal Goes Down In The ‘Power’ Season 6 Official Trailer

Since 2014 the dangerous and captivating life of James “Ghost” St. Patrick (played by Omari Hardwick) has been at the forefront of Starz hit series Power created by Courtney A. Kemp. Heading towards the sixth and final season at the end of August, “The Final Betrayal” is the theme for the last season as many of the characters are scrambling to remain six feet above ground.

The first official trailer for season 6 dropped over the weekend and became a trending topic for fans of the show trying to dissect every second of the two-minute clip. Season 5 ended in the ultimate betrayal with Tommy (Joseph Sikora) attempting to take out his now frenemy/ex-business partner Ghost only to shoot Ghost’s on again-off again lover Angela (Lela Loren) instead. Although show runner Kemp confirmed a while back Angela survived the gun blow, many fans are speculating that Angela is just a figment of Ghost’s imagination. Wouldn’t that be something.

Elsewhere in the trailer Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.) seems to be siding with Tommy and getting his foot in the game for real this time, Tasha (Naturi Naughton) is trying to navigate life after losing everything, and LaKeisha (La La Anthony) is stepping into the game as Tommy’s ride or die. I must admit I still don’t like them as a couple, but maybe this final season will change my mind.

Power returns for its final season starting Sunday, August 25 only on Starz.
