After a release date push back, a new chapter in The X-Men franchise is coming out this summer focusing on one of the best mutants there is, Jean Grey.
Sophie Turner will reprise her role as Grey and things will be going out of this world, literally. Aliens are entering the narrative and I’m not sure how I feel about that. Following a rescue mission to space, Jean encounters a “cosmic force” that make her powers stronger and causes her to be an even greater risk to mankind. The rest of the X-Men must band together to control the Dark Phoenix before she evolves into something of the likes of “X-Men: The Last Stand.”
Written and directed by Simon Kinberg; James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Evan Peters are all back for their roles with Jessica Chastain joining the bunch.
