“God is a Woman,” according to Ariana Grande that is and judging by her third singe off her upcoming Sweetener album I’m inclined to believe her with the absolute heavenly vocals she delivered on the sultry track.

Grande teased she would be dropping the single on social media and came through with her promise at midnight on Friday the 13th. Later that day the artsy music video dropped and it was the topic of conversation with the controversial title and subliminal messages hidden throughout the visual.

The 25-year-old inserts herself into nature as a goddess of the world tackling hate from men, owning her sexuality, breaking glass ceilings, and even screaming gophers? Yeah, not sure I get that reference. The minute I heard “God is a Woman” I was hooked. THIS is the Ariana I was waiting for. “No Tears Left To Cry” grew on me, especially with the video. “The Light Is Coming” isn’t really my favorite, but it’s tolerable. So I’m glad AG delivered with this track. I’m hoping the rest of Sweetener shows off more of Grande’s R&B side because she has the voice for it. Don’t let me down boo.

Watch the music video for “God is a Woman” in the clip below. The single is now available for purchase and so is pre-order for Sweetener, out August 17th. Share your thoughts in the comments.
