The 90th Oscars Brings Historic Wins And Memorable Moments

The biggest night in Hollywood came and conquered on Sunday, March 4th live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles with host Jimmy Kimmel. The 90th Academy Awards, Oscars, as always trended on social media with many sharing their views on the ceremony.

It was a night of first for many of the nominees and many historic wins. “Get Out” director and writer Jordan Peele won his first Oscar making him the first black writer to win for Original Screenplay.

“Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri,” “Dunkirk,” and “Coco” were big winners of the night earning several awards. Allison Janney won her first Oscar for her supporting role in “I, Tonya” and Sam Rockwell took home his first Academy Award for his role in “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.” Kobe Bryant also won for Best Animated Short bringing the baller into new territory.

Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway returned to present Best Picture and redeem themselves from last year’s Best Picture debacle. “The Shape of Water” took home the coveted award of the night with Guillermo del Toro taking home the Best Director award for the film as well.
