Meet Katie Buxton. Indie-Folk singer/songwriter with a new single, an EP, and story to tell through her music.

Since childhood music has always been a passion having picked up a guitar and writing her first song at the age of twelve. A fellow Philadelphia native, Buxton moved to out to Nashville to attend Belmont University to study songwriting. Katie’s career flourished after joining Bear House Writers Management and landing in a spot to play in the ASCAP Writers Showcase in 2015.

With a debut EP, From Songbirds, and a new single called “You Flew,” Buxton is on the fast track to stardom. Recorded and mixed by Sal Oliveri and mastered by Luke Gilfeather, “You Flew” is a slow-paced, heartfelt track about love. “The song is about caring deeply for someone who is not ready to love or be loved and runs out of fear, and focuses especially on the process of learning to let go,” Buxton said about her single.

“You Flew” is now available on Soundcloud and all streaming services, along with iTunes for purchasing. Listen to Katie Buxton’s new single “You Flew” in the clip below and share your thoughts in the comments.
