Miley Cyrus To Host The 2015 MTV Video Music Awards- See Her Announcement

Guard your moon men because Miley Cyrus is coming to the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards as a first time host.

On Instagram the 22-year-old Happy Hippie Foundation creator uploaded an image of herself in an alien green screen-esque suit completely covering her face holding a sign that read “MTV won’t let me perform” and in an another photo she held a sign that read “So I’m hosting this year’s VMAs.” She captioned the image, “Fuck yeah VMAs!!!!! #VMAs on @MTV Aug 30 at 9pm.” 

MTV also shared the news on their Instagram page using the same phone with the caption, “That’s right, @MileyCyrus is hosting the 2015 MTV #VMAs! See it happen 8/30 at 9/8C.” 

Back in 2013, Cyrus made pop culture history when she performed a raunchy performance of “We Can’t Stop” and “Blurred Lines” alongside Robin Thicke. The following year she went more tame and with a message bringing homeless man Jesse Helt as her date and having him accept her “Video of the Year” award to bring awareness to homeless teens. What’s in store for the VMAS this year with Cyrus as host, we’ll have to wait and see. Nominations for the award show this year will be announced soon.
