Tinashe, Jason Derulo, and Ciara performed a special tribute to the Ultimate Icon: Music Dance Visual Award recipient Janet Jackson at the 2015 BET Awards, aired Sunday, June 28.
The tribute opened with Tinashe dancing to Jackson’s “Pleasure Principle” in attire replicated from the music video. Next up, Jason Derulo was joined with a group of dancers to perform “All For You.” The moment everyone was waiting for, outside of Janet herself, came when Ciara closed out the tribute with “If” and “Rhythm Nation,” joined by Tinashe and Derulo.
Following the tribute, the 49-year-old took the stage to her new single “No Sleeep” and thanked God making everything possible, her husband, fans, and all those who were apart of “very long journey.”
