Sofia Vergara was officially honored with a permanent place in Hollywood on Thursday, May 7 when she received the 2,551st star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, right next to her Modern Family husband Ed O’Neill.
“The Hollywood Chamber is proud to add some spice to the Hollywood Walk of Fame by immortalizing Sofia Vergara’s fame onto our iconic Walk of Fame,” Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremonies, said in a statement. Martinez added, “Vergara adds coveted diversity to our Walk of Fame institution. We also think putting her star next to the star of TV husband Ed O’Neill is an added value for fans of their show to enjoy.”
Vergara’s Modern Family co-stars: O’Neill, Julie Bowen, and Eric Stonestreet were in attendance to celebrate their friend, along with her son Manolo, and fiancé Joe Manganiello. Following the star ceremony there was only way to truly keep the special day going; with a huge party of course, but with Vergara it was Colombian style with family and friends.
