First Look: Denis Leary, Elizabeth Gillies, Elaine Hendrix + More In FX’s ‘Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll’

Get ready to channel and let your inner rock star loose with The Heathens this summer in the new FX series Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll starring Denis Leary, Elizabeth Gillies, Elaine Hendrix and more!

Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll follows Johnny Rock (Leary), a “middle-aged rock ‘n roller who desperately wanted to be rich and famous” but isn’t having that much luck. With his loyal band of followers, Johnny Rock is going to make it no matter what.

In the first look at Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll, we “sample the sound of The Heathens” and check out the opening title sequence for the show. Josh Pais, John Corbett, Robert Kelly, and John Ales also star in the new series.

I spoke with Jeriana San Juan, costume designer for the series, back in February and she gave me some great scoop about the show and how it was to dress the stars. [Check out that interview HERE.] I’m super excited for this show because one, I love Liz Gillies and her voice so I’m happy to see she’ll be doing some original music for the series, and two who doesn’t love Rock & Roll? “The Runaways” movie is my sugar, honey, iced, tea so to see a TV show about that lifestyle seems pretty cool.

Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll will premiere this summer, Thursday, July 16 on FX with a 10 episode first season.
