Solange covers the August 2014 issue of Lucky magazine and talks briefly about the infamous elevator fight that went down between the 28-year songstress and his sister’s husband, Jay Z.

Back in May, Beyoncé‘s younger sister got into a very violent fight with Jay Z that was leaked to the world in the form of an elevator video. After the altercation took over as a major topic of discussion the Carters and Knowles family released a statement in which they say they “moved forward as a united family.”

Solange added to the situation by telling Lucky, “What’s important is that my family and I are all good. What we had to say collectively was in the statement that we put out, and we all feel at peace with that.”

Solange did discuss other things inside the issue like touring with Destiny’s Child and her fashion growing up. She talked to Lucky about her move to New Orleans with her nine-year-old son Julez and her video director boyfriend Alan Ferguson. She said, “I lived in New York and L.A. and they were different worlds I learned to navigate. Fashion and music have so many elements I’m connected to, but they also have parts that I’m not so interested in. I can step in and step out of those worlds. Being in New Orleans gives me space.”
