Casting News: “Straight Outta Compton” Motion Picture Gets A Cast [PHOTO + VIDEO]

A biopic film showcasing the life of rapper and producer Eazy E along with his rap group, N.W.A, members Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, is getting a big push by Universal Pictures and from the looks of it, it’s going to be big.

“Straight Outta Compton,” popular N.W.A song and title of the film, is set to be released next year and will star O’Shea Jackson Jr., Corey Hawkins and Jason Mitchell as Cube, Dre and the late Eazy E. And yes O’Shea is Ice Cube’s son.

Ice Cube shared the news with fans on Instagram with an official photo of the cast along with himself, director F. Gary Gray and Dr. Dre. The caption read, “Finally found the NWA cast. Me, Gary Gray & Dre w/ Cube, Eazy & Dre. #StraightOuttaCompton coming 8/14/15.”
