I mean, as if I couldn’t love American Horror Story any more, Ryan Murphy goes and reveals the theme for the fourth season that just made me fall in love deeper with this series.

It’s official, the theme for season four of AHS is FREAK SHOW!  On Monday, Murphy tweeted a photo that read “Freak Show” with the caption, “AMERICAN HORROR STORY SEASON FOUR.”

Entertainment Weekly retrieved exclusive details about the upcoming season which should premiere in October of this year. EW learned the season will be set in Jupiter, Florida, in 1950. Jessica Lange will return yet again and will play a “German ex-pat who is managing one of the last freak shows in the U.S.”

Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, and Frances Conroy all return from AHS: Coven and play performers of the freak show whom Lange’s character has rescued; and this group will do anything to keep their business around. Can you just imagine the costumes and extreme make up this season will have.

Denis O’Hare and Emma Roberts are also reported to return and are working out deals. We’ll find out more about this upcoming season during the panel discussion the series will have during Paley Fest this Friday, March 28.

What do you think of the fourth season theme for American Horror Story?
