Katy Perry Premieres Here “Dark Horse” Music Video

Let me start by saying that I love Katy Perry‘s new single “Dark Horse!”

From the moment I discovered it on Tumblr I fell in love and had high hopes for the music video. In my mind I thought a lot of slow motion, Perry with long, black hair on a majestic black horse belted out those lyrics but I, and many others, were let down.

In the music video for “Dark Horse,” Katy Perry is an Egyptian queen named Katy Patra who is seeking love from suitors near and far. If she is displeased she turns them into adorable puppies.

The video features extravagant costumes with playful colors and lots of shimmer and sparkle, I do love that aspect. Juicy J also appears in the video to rap his verse.
