My jaw literally just dropped!

Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead in his Manhattan apartment on Sunday of a suspected drug overdose according to the New York Police Department.

The Oscar winner who notably was seen playing Plutarch Heavensbee on “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” reportedly spent time, 10 days to be exact, in a drug detox treatment program last year. He struggled with substance abuse starting with prescription pills then escalating to heroin.

The “Capote” actor was sober for two decades after drug abuse in his twenties before succumbing to his demons and relapsing in 2013.

Sources are saying Hoffman was found with a needle in his arm after using heroin and died. He was 46.

Hoffman was in the final installment of “The Hunger Games” franchise and completed filming “Mockingjay Part 1”, but not the last part of that film.

Rest in Peace: Philip Seymour Hoffman.
