After the music surprise of 2013, Beyoncé thought she’d give her Beyhive fans and inquiring minds the answers to how she developed such an album.

Over the course of 3 weeks, Beyoncé released clips from her “Self Titled” film all featuring the producers, songwriters and musicians she worked with to create her self-titled album.

Visual Album,” “Imperfection,” “Run ‘N Gun,” and “Liberation” were the titles of part 1 – 4 of the film; “Honesty” is the 5th and final installment.

The glue that ties this record together is honesty. I started out when I was 9, with the girls of Destiny’s Child and our first album came out when I was 15 and I was a child,” the songstress begins the clip saying.

“Now I’m in my 30s, and those children that grew up listening to me have grown up, and I always felt like it was my responsibility to be aware of kids and their parents and all these generations and I felt like it stifled me. And I felt like, in a sense, I could not express everything. I’ve done so many things in my life, in my career, that I feel like at this point I’ve earned the right to be me and to express any and every side of myself.”

Beyoncé then goes on to explain how she, Justin Timberlake and Miguel wrote the sensual track “Rocket” together and how her life experiences influenced the record as a whole.
