Paula Deen is still facing the backlash from the use of the “n word” during her brother’s law deposition.

The celebrity chef was fired from The Food Network and has been released from ties with Smithfield Foods; her partnership with QVC is still being decided upon. The butter obsessed cook had an interview with Matt Lauer on The Today Show and broke down in tears over her recent career woes.

Matt asked if she knew the “n word” was offensive to black people and she replied, “I don’t know, I have asked myself that so many times,” she continued “I go into my kitchens and hear what these young people are calling each other… I think for this problem to be worked on these young people are gonna have to take control and start showing respect for each other.” So Paula, if everyone jumps off a bridge are you going to do it too, no.

In tears Paula Deen later said, “I is what I is, and I’m not changing. If there is anyone out there that has never said something that they wish they could take back, please pick up that stone and throw it so hard that it kills me.”
