Trailer Thursday: White House Down

It’s rather bothering that there has been a slew of films depicting the fall of The White House and the potential harm on the president. I mean there’s “Olympus Has Fallen” and now this week’s Trailer Thursday film “White House Down.”

Back in February when Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx vaguely promoted their upcoming film on Jimmy Kimmel Live I thought it was going to be a comedy but after viewing the trailer I see there will be nothing funny about the film. However; it will be filled with gun explosion and buildings blowing up; you know, if that’s your type of thing.

In the movie Chan Chan plays John Cale, a Capitol policeman on a tour of The White House with his young daughter Emily Cale (Joey King). The White House suddenly becomes bombarded with attacks from an armed group of paramilitary invaders, so John breaks into full combat mode in order to save his daughter and protect President James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx).

“White House Down” will be in theaters on June 28, 2013. Check out the trailer for the film below.
