I can think of no better way to kick off Black History month than with the NAACP Image Awards!

On Friday, February 1, The 44th NAACP Image Awards aired live on NBC. The night showcased and celebrated the best achievements and performances of people of color in the arts. Black Hollywood’s elite came out to honor each other and their accomplishments over the past year. Big winner of the night was Kerry Washington due to her starring television role as Olivia Pope on ABC’s Scandal, her supporting acting role in “Django Unchainded” as Broomhilda and her humanitarian efforts in the community.

LL Cool J, George Lucas and Denzel Washington also were winners of the night.
