People have often say that when they listen to Adele they miss that random stranger that blessed them on the train three years ago, they transform their minds, bodies, and souls to another dimension, and emotions they felt deep inside come to a soothing calm. I bet you didn’t know that Adele’s latest chart-topping single “Hello” could mend family ties during the holidays.

On this past weekend’s Saturday Night Live, Adele was the musical guest with host Matthew McConaughey. In a sketch about how families tend to get in the most arguments during the holiday season a theory was tested. Could Adele’s “Hello” stop all those problems? The answer is YES.

SNL cast mates Beck Bennett, Jay Pharoah, Cecily Strong, Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon, Vanessa Bayer, and host Matthew McConaughey played a family who started to get in arguments at the dinner table on issues of race and politics. One little family member started to play Adele’s “Hello” and everything changed, literally.

Watch this hilarious clip from Saturday Night Live below and see how Adele’s “Hello” stopped a Thanksgiving family argument.
