Last week, news of world leader Nelson Mandela passing away took over as we mourned the loss of a great man.

RIP: ANTI – APARTHEID ICON NELSON MANDELA DIES AT 95

Today Mandela’s funeral services and memorial took place in South Africa and one moment has stuck out during the televised event; President Barack Obama snapping a selfie with two Prime Ministers.

British Prime Minister David Cameron and Denmark’s Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt were photographed taking a self photo with Obama while Michelle Obama looked not so pleased on the side.

While these leaders thought this was the perfect opportunity to commemorate that moment, many found it tasteless to take a photo during a time of grief and mourning. I agree, I don’t think that was the best time to take a photo given the reason why you are all joined together but let me know what you think.

Is a memorial service for a world leader the appropriate time to take a selfie? Let me know in the comments below.
