Emma Stone and Nathan Fielder star in the upcoming Showtime series The Curse following a couple hosting a HGTV series but things go horribly wrong when they get cursed.
Produced by A24, Benny Safdie and Nathan Fielder co-created and executive produced the show along with Emma Stone, Dave McCary, Ali Herting, and Josh Safdie as executive producers. The Curse is a “genre-bending scripted comedy” that follows Whitney (Stone) and Asher (Fielder) Siegel, a newly married couple who have an alleged curse on them that wrecks their lives as they try to conceive a child and host their “problematic new HGTV show.”
The official trailer for The Curse shows the moments leading up to Whitney and Asher’s misfortune and how they try to fix it. Benny Safdie, Samantha Ashley, GiGi Erneta, Corbin Bernsen, Constance Shulman, Barkhad Abdi, Jerry G. Angelo, and Michelle Campbell are listed as featured cast.
The Curse premiered three episodes during the 61st New York Film Festival and the rest of the world will get to see the show when it starts streaming on Paramount+ for Showtime subscribers on November 10, before premiering on November 12 on Showtime.
