It’s safe to say I can credit R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps books and the 1995-1998 TV series as key reasons why I became a horror fan. R.L. Stine is such an important part of my childhood so I’m always excited to see his work adapted.
R.L. Stine’s stories have been reworked into two films “Goosebumps” (2015) and “Goosebumps 2: Slappy’s Revenge” (2018) and now a revamped TV series will bring Stine to a new generation. Inspired by his worldwide bestselling book series, the new Goosebumps series will follow “a group of five high schoolers as they embark on a shadowy and twisted journey to investigate the tragic passing three decades earlier of a teen named Harold Biddle – while also unearthing dark secrets from their parents’ past,” according to the official plot.
Justin Long, Will Price, Ana Yi Puig, Isa Briones, Tyson Dornn, Zack Morris, Miles McKenna, Rachael Harris, Rob Huebel, and Ben Cockell star in Goosebumps coming to Disney+ and Hulu on Friday, October 13, 2023.
