During this summer television season there were multiple leaks from cable TV’s most popular shows like Power and Game of Thrones that were victims to hackers. To avoid this for the finale season of GOT, HBO is taking extreme measures.

The network has said that there will be multiple endings shot of Game of Thrones to ensure the safety of the final moments of the series will not be released beforehand. “I know in ‘Game of Thrones,’ the ending, they’re going to shoot multiple versions so that nobody really know what happens,” HBO programming president Casey Bloys said in a recording of a speech at Moravian College. He further added, “You have to do that on a long show. Because when you’re shooting something, people know, They’re going to shoot multiple versions so that there’s no real definitive answer until the end.”

This is a measure that has been done before for the show though. In season 7, misleading bonus scenes were shot to throw off paparazzi that were sneaking around set. Shooting alternate endings though is sending hardcore fans into a frenzy about the idea of where the story can end. Everyone wants all the endings released so the fans can decide which ending they like best or just to see the ideas the showrunners had about the show’s finale moments.

For me ideally I would want Daenerys Targaryen as queen of the seven kingdoms with Jon Snow by her side. Sansa to be queen of the north with Arya by her side. Yara the queen of the iron islands with Theon by her side. Basically all the boss bitches taking over Westeros making it a better place for generations to come.

Shooting of the 8th and finale season is expected to start in October and won’t be released until late 2018 or early 2019.

How would you like Game of Thrones to end? Who do you want sitting on the iron throne? Share your thoughts in the comments.
