Taraji P. Henson’s ‘Empire’ Character Cookie Drops By Sesame Street In Funny ‘SNL’ Sketch [VIDEO]

Cookie Monster meets Cookie Lyon in a funny sketch from this weekend’s Saturday Night Live with first time host Taraji P. Henson.

The Empire actress received raved reviews for her hosting duties over the weekend but the characters from Sesame Street weren’t that happy to see Cookie, her character from the record-breaking television show Empire, appear on their “sunny day” program.

Dressed in a Cookie adjacent costume, Henson stirred up troubled with Bert and Ernie, Snuffleupagus, and Cookie Monster. And what she did to Elmo, let’s just say we won’t be seeing him anymore in his normal form. [SEE BELOW]

This wasn’t the first time Cookie made an appearance on the late night sketch comedy series. Back in March, Chris Hemsworth hosted SNL and appeared in a clip spoofing Empire where he played a new character Chip trying to get in with the Lyon clan. SNL cast member Sasheer Zamata played Cookie and immortalized the line “Take a dip Chip.” [SEE BELOW]
