Ariana Grande graced the American Music Awards stage on Sunday, November 22, to perform her new single “Focus” for the first time on an award show stage. She first performed the record live following the October 30 release on the Honda Stage at the iHeartRadio Theater in LA to celebrate the single’s debut.

The 22-year-old performed a jazzy rendition of her first single off her forthcoming Moonlight album to start the performance then switched gears to the studio version of the track. The typical high pony babe rocked romantic, pin curls during her set and a Jessica Rabbit-esque dress switching into a sparkly, fringe number to finish the rest of the song.

After a quick change, the singer put her hair up in a bun to accept the award for Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist. CONGRATS Ari, can’t wait for that album in the new year.
