Just when we were ready to boycott Family Guy, Seth MacFarlane brings back Brian Griffin from the dead.

‘FAMILY GUY’ KILLS OFF BELOVED CHARACTER – FANS ARE NOT HAPPY

Back in November, the internet and FG super fans were shocked to know Brian, the family dog, was killed off the show. The wound stung more when a replacement dog Vinny (Tony Sirico) was added to the show, even in the credits.

But after Sunday’s “Christmas Guy” episode it was revealed that the beloved dog’s death was simply a stunt to teach us a lesson and Stewie Griffin was able to save him through his time machine.

On Twitter, MacFarlane, Family Guy creator and voice of Brian, posted, “And thus endeth our warm, fuzzy holiday lesson: Never take those you love for granted, for they can be gone in a flash.” He added, “I mean, you didn’t really think we’d kill off Brian, did you?  Jesus, we’d have to be f*cking high.”

MacFarlane concluded the strand of tweets and posted, “Oh and hey… thanks for caring so much about the canine Griffin. He is overcome with gratitude.”
