The Wayans Brothers Are Canceling Cancel Culture in ‘Scary Movie 6’ [MOVIE TRAILER]

No horror movie is safe from The Wayans Brother in the official trailer for “Scary Movie 6.” The trailer features many of the legacy characters back in action and I can already feel this movie is for those who loved the first two films in the “Scary Movie” franchise. “Twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer (“Ghostface”), the Core Four are back in the killer’s cross hairs and no horror movie IP is safe,” reads the synopsis for the upcoming film.

Marlon Wayans (Shorty”), Shawn Wayans (“Ray”), Anna Faris (“Cindy”), and Regina Hall (“Brenda”) will reunite in “Scary Movie 6” alongside returning favorites like Chris Elliot, Lochlyn Munro, Dave Sheridan, Jon Abrahams, and Cheri Oteri paired with some fresh faces.

The sixth installment in the franchise is slated to “slash through reboots, remakes, reques, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t final. Nothing is sacred. No trope survives. Every line gets crossed. The Wayans are back to cancel the Cancel Culture.”

“Weapons,” “The Substance,” “Sinners,” “Terrifer,” “Longlegs,” “Smile,” “Get Out,” “M3GAN,” “Ma,” the new “Halloween,” and the newer “Scream” movies are featured in the trailer, so a nice blend of horror movies that came out years ago and ones that recently were released. But all of these left a significant imprint in the horror genre that they would be easily recognized when spoofed. “Scary Movie 6” could be the dumbest thing ever and I’ll still love it. Can’t wait for this one.
