From years upon years of watching television it’s no secret that the most creepiest and mysterious things happen in the suburbs and the upcoming Peacock Original series ‘The Burbs will be another example of it.
Set in present-day suburbia, The ‘Burbs follows a young couple (Keke Palmer and Jack Whitehall) who have reluctantly relocated to the husband’s childhood home. Their world is upended when a new neighbor moves in across the street, bringing old secrets of the cul-de-sac to light, and new deadly threats shatter the illusion of their quiet little neighborhood. If the concept sounds a bit familiar, Peacock’s The ‘Burbs is a contemporary series adaptation/remake of the 1989 cult classic horror-comedy film of the same name that starred Tom Hanks, Bruce Dern, and Carrie Fisher.
Along with Palmer and Whitehall, Julia Duffy, Paula Pell, Mark Proksch, Kapil Talwalkar, Kyrie Mcalpin, and Justin Kirk appear as supporting and recurring cast.
